Zachariah John is a Senior Director and Global Engineering Leader for Transportation Systems at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS), leading engineering for the business at HTS Brno in Czech Republic, Shanghai in China and Bangalore in India.

In this role, Zachariah is responsible for designing and developing turbochargers that are helping global automotive manufacturers develop engines meeting the latest emission norms. The transportation systems engineering team at the 3 HTS sites have successfully developed and put into production several next generation turbochargers including the world’s first 2-cylinder engine turbo charging solution. The learnings from this milestone in an emerging market was then successfully deployed to developed markets.

Zachariah brings in 23 years of technical knowhow and leadership in diesel engine design and development. Prior to Honeywell, he has worked with Kirloskar Oil Engines developing engines for Power Generation; Eicher Motors where he led new engine development for trucks/buses ; and General Electric where he developed engines for locomotive applications.

Zachariah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India and a Master’s degree from Gannon University, Erie PA, USA.

He lives with his family in Bangalore
